Save 11/7 for a Night in Havana!

Save Saturday, November 7 for a 'Night in Havana' 2015
BFF fundraiser that celebrates Cubanismo and a hot headline film for BFF this year.

Conducta is a Cuban film hitting the 2015 global festival circuit, a gritty, enlightening drama about a 'problem' student and a teacher who's seen it all in an honest depiction of Cuba today.

Conducta co-star Isalmis Garcia comes to Brattleboro to join us for a a discussion following the film showing at 6:30 pm at the Latchis Theater and the 'Night in Havana' party with 'el real deal' Cuban bandleader William Rodriguez and his 'Buena Vista'-style sextet 8:30 to 11:30 pm at 118 Elliot.

Coming August 8th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

The Brattleboro Film Festival and the Southern Vermont Young Professionals will join forces to mount Brattleboro’s first “‘Summer Cinema Slam” on August 8, 2015 from 5:30 to 11:30 pm for an outdoor/indoor mini-festival featuring film and filmmakers, music, food and brew at 118 Elliot, 118 Elliot Street in Downtown Brattleboro Vermont.

Event will highlight creative local culinary artists -- Ro's Petite Fete, Dosa Kitchen, Taste of Thai and Vermont Gelato - will present their fine and tasty fare in a private outdoor lot and garden in back. Hermit Thrush, a micro-brewery new to Brattleboro, will serve their distinctive craft beer (and wine) for purchase.

The Cinema Slam opens at 5:30pm, with a Shorts Program getting underway at 6:30pm. After outdoor intermission featuring music from Burlington native and rising star Lowell Thompson, the feature presentation starts at 9 pm.
